Solutions that worked

Blown Film Extrusion

  • Molten mass pushed through a ring nozzle, pulled vertically, and blown into a film tube
  • Air cools the tube both inside and out during the process
  • From the moment the melt exits the nozzle, temperature must be measured at multiple points along the tube
  • Ensures the characteristics and quality of the finished film
  • Process temperature: 195°C to 220°C

Rotational Moulding

  • Negative mould filled with powdered or liquid PE or PP, sealed, heated to max 320°C, and rotated biaxially
  • Material builds up layer by layer against the mould wall
  • Mould cooled in a chamber before the part is removed
  • Upon opening, the product is thermally tested — enabling immediate process adjustments if needed
  • Process temperature: up to 320°C

Thermoforming

  • Thermoplastic polymer sheets are heated on both sides until fully melted, then vacuum-formed into a tempered mould
  • Even temperature distribution prevents local burning and crack formation
  • Thermal imagers map the temperature regime of equipment; pyrometers monitor defined measurement points during production
  • Part is transported only after it has cooled and reached dimensional stability
  • Critical for advanced materials such as continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastics used in automotive engineering
  • Process temperature: 110°C to 230°C
