Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer
Toshniwal Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer is a horizontal Batch Mixer for homogeneous mixing of of Powders, granules, extruded products, micro-ingredients, liquids, with exactly the same result. The Mixer has two counter rotating shafts with welded paddles. The paddles lift the material up in the centre of the Mixer in weightless whirls, creating "fluidization" wherein the particles have a total freedom of movement and fall into each other ensuring high level of homogeneity. The movement of paddles ensures convectional transport of particles along the mixer, while the lift and fall of particles help to it to diffuse into each other in very short duration.

Process
  • Twin Counter rotating shaft with angled paddles creates fluidized zone for homogeneous mixing irrespective of size/shape of the ingredients in weightless condition.

Single Rotor Paddle Mixer

This horizontal single shaft batch mixer of A&J Mixing Technology, Canada is our most popular, ideal machine to guarantee the perfect mix, high throughput and economic operations.

It is very versatile and ideal for adding shear. The majority of mixes do require shear, and it is a benefit to some customers to do no shear mixing and high shear mixing in the same machine at different times. The price/performance ratio is favorable in many industries.

Process

The Unique single paddle design divides the housing into zones each served by atleast two paddles. All particles are moving so there is a dynamic interaction between zones. Voids are created mechanically and particles are directed to randomly fill the voids. The speed of mixing is achieved by the high volume of voids created. Accuracy is achieved by limiting the size of the void so particles do not roll apart.

Continuous Mixer
Continuous Mixer

Toshniwal continuous mixer has many of the same advantages as the Toshniwal twin-shaft batch mixer. It is very gentle with the products, has low energy consumption, high capacity, little space requirement and flexible filling level. Throughput is very significant as the average retention time is approximately one minute.

The accuracy of the feeding / dosing system of the ingredients are ultimately very important to get your desired quality product after mixing, hence the feeding variation should be bear minimum and should be kept within the tolerance level.

Process

The product fed through the inlet must pass an overflow wall inside the machine's mixing zone before it reaches the outlet of mixing zone before it reaches the outlet of the machine. There are high demands to the dosing accuracy of the products to be mixed in continuous machines.

The efficient transport system is achieved by having two parallel shafts with blades welded on. The number and position of the blades are of utmost importance.

We know from experiments there is no segregation when materials are weightless. So if a weight less condition could be achieved during the mixing process, there would be no segregation whatsoever. This is achieved by means of mechanical fluidization created in the mixer by critical peripheral speed of the paddle system.

The rotor overlap in the centre of the mixer, and the paddles completely sweep the bottom, and mix all the material at the same time.

Mixer cum Dryer
Toshniwal Mixer cum Dryer is a modification of the mixer design into a drying unit. It is especially suitable for powder products, granulates and filter cakes. The product is dried by mixing energy and product in the best possible way. The mechanical fluidisation ensures that all particles are surrounded by the drying medium (cold/ warm/ hot air, inert gas etc.) and an effective transmission of energy occurs. Moisture is thereby extracted from the product. The reliable and repeatable process gives the same perfect quality product for each batch.

Process :

Open System : The Rotary Cone Vacuum Dryer is designed as an open system where the ambient air is blown in to the Rotary Cone Vacuum Dryer. The air is warmed up in a heater then blow into the drying chamber and the hot air is inserted on both side towards the paddles in the dryer. The paddles will bring the air through the material and up in the fluidized zone where the particles can be lifted and create a larger surfact area which will increase the drying rate. The most air will be blown out of the dryer with fine particles which are then collect in the filter bags, kept in the exhaust side of the dryer.

Close System : Heated air is blow into the mixer and mixed with moist product. During the heat exchange, the moisture will evaporate from the product. Moist air passes through the filter before it is sucked into the fan. The air is thereafter blow through the cooler for condensation before it is reheated. When drying very moist products the wet product is mixed with dry product first to ensure that the fluidisation and the high drying rate is maintained.

Rotary Cone Vacuum Dryer
Rotary Cone Vacuum Dryer
The Double Cone Vacuum Dryer is completely jacketed and heat transfer fluid (either hot water or oil, stream or vapour) is circulated throughout the jacket to meet various Industrial Drying requirement for temperature sensitive materials.

The drying operation will be carried out at low temperature under vacuum, it is economical and efficient especially for dying sensitive material. The Drying equipment is user friendly for easy wash and maintenance.

Process

Let heat source (for example, low pressure steam or thermal oil) pass through the sealed jacket. The heat will be transmitted to raw material to be dried through inner shell.
Under driving of power, the tank is rotated slowly and the raw material inside it is mixed continuously. The purpose of reinforced drying can be realized.
The raw material is under vacuum. The drop of steam pressure makes the moisture (solvent) at the surface of raw material become saturation and will evaporate. The solvent will be discharged through vacuum pump and recovered in time. The inner moisture (solvent) of raw material will infiltrate, evaporate and discharge continuously. The three processes are carried out unceasingly and the purpose of drying can be realized within a short time.

Extruder

The Basket Extruder is the lowest pressure extruder of wet extrusion with moderate shear enters by gravity and is wiped through perforated screens by extrusion blades, densities the material and extrudes it through the screen. The extruded product have a consistent stable structure with a large surface area.

Process
